‘Fast & Furious 6′ Crosses $500 Million Worldwide
Continuing to break records for Universal Pictures, “Fast & Furious 6″ has crossed the $500 million mark at the worldwide box office, which is the fastest for any film in the studio’s history.
The film passed the milestone on Wednesday.
To date, “Fast 6″ has made
$180.3 million in North America and $342.2 million internationally. The film has been number one at the domestic box office for the past two weeks and including a Memorial Day run where it grossed $122 million over four days.
Universal is planning a seventh installment with James Wan taking over for Justin Lin as director and a majority of the main cast expected to return. That film is set to go into production next month and will bow on July 11.
